At this point in the book Bella makes the decision that she is not going to let anything stop her from being with Edward. She realizes that although she is a monster/ vampire she isnt gonna let that stop her. Even though this is a dangerous situation she cannot let her feelings go unnoticed. Bella clearly has very strong feelings for Edward that are not going away that she sees that there is no real choice here but to be with Edward.
