Bella: “Come and get it, then,” I challenged.
Edward: “Soon, as soon as I possibly can. I will make you safe first.” His voice was hard.
Bella: “I love you,” I reminded him.
Edward: “Could you believe that, despite everything I’ve put you through, I love you, too?” (20.139-143)
In this conversation Edward is feeling conflicted about his relationship with Bella. He thinks that that could be putting her in danger by being in a relationship together. This quote related to Wizards of Waverly Place when Justin meets Juliet who is a vampire and they fall in love but worry about their families feud because of their competing businesses. All of this starts happening in season 2 episode 26 and continues on throughout the series. These two things relate because they both involve a relationship with a vampire. In both relationships they are worried about what the consequences will be if they persue their relationship.
