Phantom of the Opera Connection

The lead singer of KISS, Paul Stanley feels a strong connection to the main character in “The Phantom of the Opera”. He was born deaf in his left ear and struggled in life dealing with this problem. As a fan of musical theatre he was amazed by the composer of “Phantom of the Opera”. The time that he saw the play performed changed his life forever. Eleven years after seeing the show for the first time he was offered an audition to play the part of Phantom and got to play him in the Toronto company. It was one of the hardest things he’s ever done but he loved and it and connects it to his life.
